Editorial methodology

This page explains how we decide what to publish and how we keep it accurate. If something on the site does not match this page, tell us at hello@vaelolab.com.

What we cover

Tools and practices that solve everyday problems for small businesses, mostly in Canada. We would rather cover fewer tools well than list everything.

Where facts come from

Testing and opinions

We only say we tested a tool when we actually did. Profiles that are based on published plans say so. We do not publish invented reviews, ratings, testimonials, user counts or rankings.

How we use AI

We use AI tools to help gather published information, organise notes and draft text. A person reviews every page, checks claims against the linked sources and decides what is published. We do not copy or reword other publishers' articles.

Money and independence

Keeping things current

Prices and offers are stored in one place on our side, so a correction updates every page that shows them. Offers with an end date are hidden automatically when they expire. Guides show when they were last updated, and we re-check fast changing topics, such as platform rules and prices, more often.
